What Christmas Light Installation involves in Happy Valley, OR
Newer Happy Valley subdivisions run to two-story fronts with several peaks and a long run of gutter per house, so the roofline footage and the ladder work set the price; outdoor outlets are usually front and back, so the cord runs stay short. Nothing is nailed or stapled to the roof, and whatever goes up comes down in January. It's the kind of detail that changes street by street here — Scouters Mountain and Altamont rarely hand us the same house twice.
Install price with your lights — you buy the strands, timers, and cords; clips are itemized; the January takedown is included.

Christmas & Holiday Light Installation in Happy Valley, OR — common questions
- How much does Christmas Light Installation cost in Happy Valley, OR?
- From $750. What moves the price is the linear feet of roofline and how many stories and peaks it has, how many trees and shrubs get wrapped, and how many wreaths, garland runs, and décor pieces go up besides the roofline (the lights are yours to buy; the January takedown is in the install price). Happy Valley's stock — dominated by 2000s-and-newer builds with open great rooms and tall feature walls — sets the local baseline, so two neighbors can get two different numbers for the same request. Before any work starts you have a fixed quote in hand; estimates are free, and photos of the job get you an accurate number fastest.
- Do I need a permit for hanging Christmas lights in Happy Valley, OR?
- No, hanging Christmas lights is not permitted work in Happy Valley, OR — no permit, no inspection, no waiting. Building permits (through the City of Happy Valley (with Clackamas County for some addresses)) only come into it if a job turns structural, and we'd tell you before that happened.
- Which parts of Happy Valley do you cover, and how soon can you come?
- All of Happy Valley, OR — Eagle Landing, Scouters Mountain, Mt Scott and Altamont — plus nearby Portland, Beaverton and Hillsboro. Most jobs get a same-week slot. Photos plus a short note about what you need are enough for us to reply with a price and a time.
