Home network rack installation & Wi-Fi setup in Portland
Portland, OR
About this project
A fast house starts at the rack. We mounted the switches in the rack, terminated every Ethernet run, and dressed the cables with velcro ties so each port can be traced in seconds — no zip-tie spaghetti, no guessing which cable feeds which room.
For the second setup, a compact wall-mounted cabinet keeps the whole network hub off the floor and out of sight: a UniFi switch handles the wired backbone, and a battery backup keeps the internet up through short power blips.
Whether it's a couple of drops for a home office or a full structured-wiring hub, we finish the same way — labeled runs, clean terminations, tested speeds on every port, and Wi-Fi tuned to cover the whole house.
