Common Problems We Solve
An IKEA or other flat-pack build stalled halfway — a panel is on backwards and nothing lines up anymore.
We back the build up to the last correct step, fix the flipped panel or misplaced cam locks, and finish it. Most stalled builds are recoverable without new parts. Bring us the manual and whatever hardware is left; we sort the rest.
Kids in the house, and the tall dresser isn't attached to anything.
Tip-over anchoring is the fix, and it has to hit studs — not just drywall. We locate framing, use rated hardware, and anchor the unit so it can't come forward. While we're there, we'll check every tall piece in the room and anchor the ones that need it.
Move-in week: a stack of boxes, no tools on hand, and a home that needs to work by Monday's routine.
We bundle it into one visit. Beds and storage go together first so you can live there, then the TV goes on the wall, Wi-Fi gets set up, and mirrors and art get hung. You unpack; we handle the build list.
The shed kit arrived as a few hundred parts and a manual the size of a phone book.
Kits like this are won in the staging. We inventory the hardware, lay panels out in build order, and check the base is level before the first screw. A square, level start is what keeps the doors closing right years later.

Confirm the plan
Send photos of the boxes, model numbers, or a simple list. We confirm what's being built, flag anything that needs prep — like a level base for a shed — and size the visit to the pile.
Stage & sort parts
We unbox, lay out panels, and check hardware against the manual before building. Missing or damaged parts get caught here, at the start, not three steps from the finish.
Assemble square & anchor
Each piece is built in the room where it will live, squared up, and tightened in the right order. Tall units, wardrobes, and Murphy beds get anchored into studs with rated hardware.
Walk-through & packaging haul-away
We test every drawer, door, and hinge with you, make final adjustments, and break down the cardboard. Packaging haul-away is available so the job ends with furniture, not a wall of boxes.

What's Not Included
- Moving, delivery, or storage of belongings — once your items are in the home, we assemble, mount, connect, and hang what needs finishing

What Affects the Price
- Piece complexity
- A nightstand and a PAX with sliding doors and full interior fittings are different jobs. Drawer count, door type, and glass panels drive the time.
- Number of pieces
- Several items in one visit cost less per piece than separate trips. Move-in bundles price the visit, not each box.
- Anchoring work
- How many tall units need anchoring, and what the wall is made of — studs behind drywall are quick, plaster and masonry take longer.
- Site conditions
- Stairs, tight hallways, and whether the piece can be built in the room it will live in. Carrying an assembled wardrobe upstairs is not an option.
- Outdoor kits
- Shed and play-set pricing follows kit size, part count, and the state of the base. An unlevel pad adds prep before assembly can start.
Furniture Assembly — Frequently Asked Questions
Do you bring the tools and hardware?
Yes. We bring drivers, drills, levels, clamps, and stud finders, plus common spare hardware — cam locks, dowels, shelf pins, screws — that flat-pack boxes tend to run short on. You just need the boxes and a clear spot to work.
What happens if parts are missing or damaged?
We inventory hardware before building, so shortages surface at the start. Generic hardware we can usually replace from our own stock on the spot. For damaged panels or brand-specific parts, we document exactly what to request from the manufacturer, build everything else, and come back to finish once the part arrives.
Is anchoring to the wall included?
Yes. Tip-over anchoring into studs is part of the job for dressers, wardrobes, bookcases, and Murphy beds. With kids in the home it matters most — a climbing toddler can pull over an unanchored dresser. Renters: the holes are small, and we'll show you exactly where they are.
How long does a PAX wardrobe take?
A two- or three-frame PAX with hinged doors is normally a single-visit job. Sliding doors, drawer stacks, and full interior fittings make it a longer visit. Tell us the frame count and door type when you book, and we'll size the visit so it's done in one trip.
Do you assemble sheds, play sets, and outdoor kits?
Yes. Shed kits, swing sets, playhouses, greenhouses, and patio furniture, built where they'll stand. Sheds need a level base before we arrive — send us the model and we'll tell you what the kit calls for. Ground anchoring for play sets is included where the kit provides it.
What's in a move-in setup, and can renters book it?
Once your belongings are in the home, one visit covers your key furniture, the TV on the wall, Wi-Fi up and running, and mirrors and art hung — instead of a weekend lost to manuals. We do not move belongings. Renters are welcome. Where walls can't be drilled, we use damage-free hanging options and keep any holes small and documented.
How much does it cost to have someone assemble IKEA furniture?
We price by the piece, not by the hour. A dresser, desk, or bed frame runs $169–249, and a two- to three-frame PAX wardrobe runs $349–599 — our Typical Projects & Pricing list has more examples.
