What We Install & Repair
We mount TVs on the walls this region actually has — drywall over studs, lath and plaster in older houses, brick and stone around fireplaces, and tile. The mount is matched to the TV and the wall, the hardware is rated for the load, and the finished install is level with the cables handled.

Common Problems We Solve
The TV was mounted too high and every neck knows it.
The center of the screen should sit near seated eye level, not gallery height. We measure from your actual seating and agree on the height before drilling — and we re-mount TVs a previous install put too high.
The mount is sagging or pulling away from the wall.
Almost always bad anchors — toggles in bare drywall, or screws that missed the stud. We take the TV down, assess the damage, and re-mount into framing with hardware rated well above the TV's weight.
There's no stud where the TV needs to go.
Studs rarely land where the layout wants the screen. A full-motion arm can reach from the nearest stud bay, a wide-pattern mount can span two studs, and where neither works we use load-rated systems matched to the wall.
Lath-and-plaster walls that crumble when drilled.
Plaster hides studs from magnetic finders and cracks if drilled dry. We locate the framing properly, drill careful pilots, and carry the load into the studs.
How It Works
Confirm the plan
We look at the wall, the TV, and the room, then agree on height, mount type, and cable handling before anything is drilled.
Find the structure
Studs are located and marked — or the masonry assessed — and the mounting plate is positioned so the load lands on framing or rated anchors.
Mount and level
The plate goes up level, the brackets go on the TV, and the set is hung and checked for level and security under its full weight.
Conceal and connect
Cables go into a raceway or an in-wall low-voltage kit, the soundbar and streaming devices are connected, and everything is tested before we leave.
What's Not Included
- New outlets or in-wall power relocation — line-voltage electrical work is referred to a licensed electrician; we handle the low-voltage side (HDMI, optical, ethernet).
- TV repair — cracked screens, dead panels, and board-level issues are a repair shop's territory.
- Structural wall repair — failing plaster or damaged framing is a wall-repair job first, mounting second; we do patch the small holes our own work creates.
What Affects the Price
- TV size and weight
- A 43-inch bedroom TV and a 77-inch OLED are different jobs — heavier sets need beefier mounts and more anchoring points.
- Wall material
- Drywall over studs is the baseline. Lath and plaster, brick, stone, and tile take more time, specialty bits, and different anchors.
- Cable concealment level
- A paintable raceway is a small add; in-wall low-voltage concealment is the premium option because it means opening and fishing the wall.
- Above-fireplace mounting
- Masonry drilling, heat checks, and usually a pull-down or tilt mount make fireplace installs a step up in scope.
- Soundbar and shelf add-ons
- Mounting a soundbar or hanging a floating shelf under the TV adds time but usually shares the same visit and setup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you mount a TV on plaster or brick walls?
Yes — a lot of the local housing stock is lath and plaster, and we mount into the framing behind it, never the plaster alone. Brick and stone get masonry anchors rated for the load. Both take longer than drywall.
Is it OK to mount a TV above a fireplace?
Often, but not always. We check the heat above the mantel against the manufacturer's clearance guidance, and we're honest about viewing height — above a fireplace the screen sits high, so a tilt or pull-down mount usually makes the difference. If the spot runs too hot, we'll suggest another wall.
Do you hide the wires inside the wall?
For low-voltage cables — HDMI, optical, ethernet — yes, using an in-wall concealment kit rated for that use. Relocating actual power inside the wall is line-voltage work we refer to a licensed electrician; a paint-matched raceway is the alternative when you'd rather not involve one.
What if there are no studs where I want the TV?
There are still good options: a full-motion arm on the nearest stud that swings the TV where you want it, a plate spanning two studs, or rated heavy-duty anchors where the wall allows. What we won't do is hang a TV on light-duty drywall anchors and hope.
Can you move a TV that someone else mounted?
Yes. We take it down, inspect the old mount and anchors, patch the holes on request, and re-mount it on the new wall. If the original hardware isn't worth trusting, we'll say so before reusing it.
Do you bring the mount or do I buy it?
Either works. If you've bought one we'll install it — and flag it first if it's wrong for your TV's weight or your wall. Otherwise we supply a mount matched to the install, itemized in the quote.
